Day 1 Delhi
Arrive Indira Gandhi International Airport. Meet, assist at the airport and transfer to your hotel. India's capital and a major gateway to the country, Delhi is contemporary and a bustling metropolis which successfully combines in its fold the ancient & the modern. Its strategic location was one of the prime reasons why successive dynasties chose it as their seat of power. New Delhi also reflects the legacy the British left behind. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 2 Delhi
Shimla: This morning after breakfast drive to Shimla (343 kms/ 9 hrs). Shimla, the former summer capital of British India, set amidst the snow capped Shivalik Mountains, offers some of the most stunning views of the mighty Himalayas Arrive Shimla and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Shimla.
Day 3 Shimla
This morning, set out to explore Shimla. The Ridge is a large open space in the heart of the town and presents excellent views of the mountain ranges. To start with, visit the Vice regal Lodge. The six-storeyed Vice-Regal Lodge or Rashtrapati Niwas was built in 1888, and was formerly the residence of Lord Dufferin, the British Viceroy. Another of Shimla's major landmarks is the Christ Church and St. Michael's Cathedral, known for its stained glass windows. Next, visit the Jhaku temple, dedicated to Hanumanji, the attendant of Lord Rama. It is at a height of 8048 feet above sea level and offers a panoramic view of the city. Later continue do an excursion to Kufri. Kufri, at distance of 16 km from Shimla and at an altitude of 2510 m above sea level, is a site offering some famous hikes and wonderful snow for skiing. The skiing season spreads between November to February and the tourist inflow is at its peak during winters. Overnight in Shimla.
Day 4 Shimla Manali
: This morning after breakfast drive to Manali (260 Kms/ 9 hrs). Manali perched at an altitude of 2050 meters above sea level and spread along the banks of the river Beas, Manali is literally the “Valley of the Gods”. Arrive Manali and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Manali.
Day 5 Manali:
This morning after breakfast, set out to explore Manali. Visit the Hidimba or Dhungri Temple. The temple is noted for its four-storeyed pagoda and exquisite wooden carvings. Visit the Manu Maharishi Temple, dedicated to sage Manu. Later visit Vashisht Kund… Vaishisht, around 3 km from Manali, boasts a pair of old stone temples, opposite each other above the main square. The temple tanks are underground hot-water/sulfur springs. Thereafter proceed to the Tibetan Market, featuring shops that sell shawls, woolen clothes, handicrafts, imported goods and souvenirs. Overnight in Manali.
Day 6 Manali:
Today, make a full day excursion to Rohtang Pass (subject to weather condition). In winter the mountain slopes are snow clad and they turn into perfect skiing slopes. Rohtang pass is 51 KM north of Manali and it is located on Manali Keylong Highway at an altitude of 4111 meters (13,400 ft). It is a gateway to Lahaul Spiti, Pangi and Leh valley. The area offers spectacular sights of glaciers and peaks, and Chandra River that flows down the Lahaul valley. Also to be sighted are the twin peaks of the Geypan. Return to Manali. Overnight in Manali.
Day 7 Manali – Chandigarh:
This morning after breakfast drive to Chandigarh (292 Kms / 7 hrs). It is the first planned city in the country whose architecture is globally recognized with an unparalleled quality of life. Arrive Chandigarh and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Chandigarh.
Day 8 Chandigarh – Delhi:
This morning after breakfast drive to (242 Kms/ 5.5 hrs). Arrive Delhi and check in to your hotel. Rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 9 Delhi – Overseas:
Today your will be transferred to the airport for your flight for onward connection back home
